Objectives:

UCR faculty members looking to inspire the next generation of professors in STEM by providing mentoring to a student from a Cal State campus so that they can successfully apply to graduate school.

Expectations and Outcomes:

• Invite the BB2P scholar to their weekly lab meetings via Zoom.
  • Introduce them to their lab members and projects in the lab.
  • Explain how an R1 lab operates.
• Have a one-on-one meeting with their BB2P scholar by Zoom, at a minimum quarterly.
  • Answer questions about grad school applications & life with a PhD.
  • Very informal, it could be just continuing a conversation with the scholar after the regular lab meeting.
• Attend the annual CUSP/BB2P networking/orientation event in March 2024.
• Join the larger CUSP/BB2P network.
